The Every-Two-Hours Schedule (AKA The Method That Turns You Into A Hostage)
This was the first thing every video agreed on.
And when TikTok reaches consensus on ANYTHING, you pay attention.
Because that's rare.
The logic seemed airtight...
Puppies = tiny bladders.
Take them out constantly.
Interrupt the cycle BEFORE disaster strikes.
Simple. Consistent. Foolproof.
I set alarms like I was launching a space shuttle.
Made a chart that would impress a project manager.
I was SO consistent it bordered on obsessive.
Cupcake went outside every two hours like CLOCKWORK.
Did her business.
Got praised like she'd just won a Nobel Prize.
Then came back inside...
And had an accident twenty minutes later anyway.
Here's what the videos conveniently left out:
This method keeps you in a permanent state of surveillance WITHOUT actually teaching your dog anything.
You're not communicating information.
You're just trying to be physically present for every single moment of your dog's bladder cycle.
Forever.
Which is incompatible with minor life activities like... having a job. Or sleeping. Or existing as a human with needs.
Verdict:
Partially useful. Extremely exhausting. Not a complete solution unless you're cool with becoming your dog's full-time bathroom coordinator.
Looking back now, I realize the REAL problem wasn't the schedule itself.
It was that Cupcake had no idea where she was SUPPOSED to go when we were inside.
The schedule just kept interrupting her... but never actually TAUGHT her anything.
(More on that later. it was a huge part of The Method that I will use to train every dog I own for the rest of my life.)
